Quaker Oats brings together George and Larry Lamb to create a one-off Love Mondays FM podcast helping you beat the January blues. So kick start your day with Quaker Oats and download Love Mondays FM free from iTunes!
Love Mondays FM, from Quaker Oats is the first time the pair have worked together on a radio project. Its aim is to get rid of any Monday morning negativity that results in nearly one in five (17%) feeling like they have no energy to face the week.
Designed to get the nation’s Monday mornings off to the best possible start, Love Mondays FM, features celebrity guests the Fonz, Rowetta from the Happy Mondays, World Porridge Champions and quirky Monday themed segments.
Cindy Tervoort Marketing Director at Quaker Oats said “We at Quaker love Mondays! Our research shows that porridge eaters, compared to breakfast skippers, are three times more likely to be Monday morning people and see it as a fresh start. We’re not arguing with this and want to spread the morning cheer, so we are thrilled to be working with the very talented and funny George and Larry Lamb. What better way to start your morning?”
Larry Lamb said: "So there we are - father and son - One's a morning person and let's say the other, not quite such a morning person! Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day - I like porridge with blueberries, honey and yogurt - and well, Georgie boy is pretty much the same. So there we come together."
George Lamb commented: “I’m not a fan of early morning starts like dad, particularly Mondays, but have a few tips of how to make them less painful and a bit more fun. I’ve always thought radio is a great way to do this so have been working hard with dad to make Love Mondays FM a funny and energetic show and I hope the nation enjoys listening to it.”
